Enterococcus Faecalis

RENGTY^® Enterococcus faecalis (E.faecalis) is refined from natural microorganisms with advanced liquid fermentation and spray drying process, which is green environmental microbial multi-functional probiotic feed additives. It is one of the main flora in the intestinal tract of animals, which can produce lactic acid, vitamin, enzyme and natural antibiotics, beneficial to animal health. It is widely applied in feed additives of poultry, livestock, aquatic animals, ruminants and etc.

Specification

Biological feature
E.faecalis formerly classified as part of the Group D Streptococcus system-is a Gram-positive, commensal bacterium inhabiting the gastrointestinal tracts of humans and other mammals. It is a non-motile, facultatively anaerobic microbe. Most E.faecalis are round or oval, can extend along the chain direction, the diameter is 0.5-1.0um, most are line in double chain or short chain. This bacteria colony on the culture medium is big and smooth, the diameter is 1-2mm, whole reason, and pigment is rare. They require low nutrition; can live on the common nutrient agar medium. They can grow in the meat soup culture medium with the temperature of 10-45°C, PH value of 9.6 or containing 6.5 percent of NaCl, can bear the temperature of 65°C for 30 minutes, they can use arginine as energy, ferment sorbitol, do not ferment arabinose. They can grow on simple culture medium with folic acid.
Function

 

 

 

1. Effective prevention and treatment of diarrhea. It can protect the young animal against diarrhea, which are caused by disordering bacteria in intestinal tracts, and can adjust the disordering bacteria to normal level, decrease the usage of antibiotics.

Inhibit the reproduction of bacteria producing urease and putrefying bacteria in the intestinal tract and reduce the content of intestinal urease and endotoxin, decreases the content of ammonia and endotoxin in blood, lower concentrations of fecal ammonia, improve the breeding environment.

3. Enhance the animal's immune system function, improve the body disease resistance, prevent diseases, reduce digestive tract diseases and respiratory diseases. It can also intensify cellular and humoral immunity, reduce digestive tract diseases and respiratory diseases.

4. Inhibit the growth of E.coli, salmonella and staphylococcus aureus, improve the intestinal microenvironment. It’s a natural antimicrobial and antiseptic, is safe for animal and human.

Working Mechanism

E.faecalis can prevent pathogenic bacteria breeding by adhesion mechanism and competition exclusion, prevent disease. It can produce organic acid and volatile fatty acid, and fight nutritional ingredient with harmful bacteria to inhibit it’s growth, and that it can also form a biofilm to attach to the intestinal mucosa of animal to develop, produce and reproduce normally, form a lactobacillus barrier to resist the invasion of foreign toxins and pathogenic bacteria, and maintain the integrity of the intestinal epithelial barrier.

 

 

1. E.faecalis can produce metabolites and biological active substances to inhibit pathogenic microorganisms, consequently, establish and maintain the normal intestinal dominant population, reduces the adhesion ability of harmful bacteria, adjust intestinal microecosystem balance of animal.

2. E.faecalis can produce bacteriostatic substances such as bacteriocins and inhibit pathogenic bacteria such as escherichia coli and salmonella, and that it can also produce enterocin E5, which can effectively inhibit the growth and reproduction of listeria, staphylococcus aureus and putrefactive microorganisms, so it’s a natural antibiotics, beneficial to animal health. 

3. E.faecalis can produce out rich L-lactic acid in the growth process, at the same time, it also can convert variety of carbohydrate anaerobic extract into lactic acid, completely absorbed and utilized by animal, which can lower pH of intestinal tract, promote absorption of vitamin D and minerals such as Ca, P and Fe.

Heat resistance: Residual activity is about 70% after heat-treatment in water bath for 3 min at 70℃

Acid resistance: Residual activity is above 97% after acid treatment for 2 hours at pH 2.0

Usage and dosage

This product is 100% natural feed additive, suitable for all animals such as pig, poultry, ruminant, aquatic animal and pet.The following dosage is an example of 10 billion cfu/g. Other specification can be converted according to the content of CFU.

Application control：
Enterococcus faecalis belongs to enterococcus and has a strong acid producing ability. Compared with the core bacterial groups in the intestinal tract-bifidobacterium and lactobacillus acidophilus, enterococcus faecalis is more active. When it is used in creep feed, the dosage needs to be controlled to reduce the intestinal stress caused by the massive reproduction of enterococcus faecalis.
